Inset Days (reminder)

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope that you and your families are all well.

I am writing to you about INSET days. These training and development days are vital for ensuring our staff remain well-trained in the most effective strategies and approaches to help our pupils make the most of their talents. These days are also used to ensure that all staff are fully up-to-date with the many areas of compulsory compliance training, such as safeguarding, GDPR (data protection) and health and safety.

In order to support our hardworking, committed staff body, we will be introducing one additional INSET day at the end of this academic year. This will help ensure that staff across our school are fully updated on compliance training in advance of the new year ahead, to help them to continue to deliver an outstanding education for all pupils. This day will focus on health and safety training.

Therefore, the following dates are the remaining INSET Days this academic year:

  • Thursday 24 July 2025
  • Friday 25 July 2025

This is not a decision we have taken lightly, as we know how valuable time in school is for pupils of all ages. We do, though, believe that this extra investment in training and development time for the start of the next academic year will support staff and therefore your children.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this change, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Finally, I would like to thank you all for your continuing support of our school.

Cheryl Steele,
Headteacher
