Caring About Learning, Learning About Caring

  • Admissions

Rosehill School works closely with the Special Educational Needs (SEN) Team at Nottingham City Council in regard to admissions. While we welcome enquiries from parents and carers, there is no guarantee of places as this has to be discussed with the SEN Team as to suitability and availability of places.

    Admissions/Eligibility Criteria:

    • The School is suitable to the child’s age, ability, aptitude and special educational needs set out in the EHC Plan
    • The child’s placement in the School is compatible with the efficient education of the other children with whom the child would be educated
    • The placement is an efficient use of the LA and public resources

    Useful Information

The Department for Education has produced guidance for families called Special Educational Needs and Disability a guide for parents and carers. This provides useful information on what the law says about Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), key points about the SEND Code of Conduct, and what to expect from the system which supports children and young people with SEND.
