Anna Lees, Associate Headteacher, Transform Teaching School Alliance & Trust

Thank you for your full engagement with the NQT+ session on Autism and Inclusion at The Rosehill School this afternoon. Thank you very much to Cheryl Steele and her colleagues, who gave wonderful insights into their school during the presentation and while undertaking the tour. The environment at Rosehill is stunning and I’m sure we all left with many great ideas to implement into our classrooms. Thank you again to all at The Rosehill School for such a rewarding and inspiring afternoon.

Wendy Quickfall, Friend of Rosehill, 30th September 2016

What a pleasure to see so many pupils receiving certificates for their work through the enrichment programme. Keep the good work up all of you.

Chris Leslie MP, 3rd July 2016

Last week, one of our schools hosted the Paralympic torch as part of its farewell tour ahead of the Rio Paralympic Games this summer. Rosehill School in St Ann’s provides education for pupils with autistic spectrum disorders. Headteacher Fenella Dowler said “to be part of the Paralympics torch tour is very important to us as we instil a sense of aspiration within our children. Here, it's not about what they can't do, it's about what they can do and we hope this visit will inspire people to have positive outcomes in their future." It was great to see the pupils getting into the Paralympic spirit, and hopefully they will all enjoy following the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games in September.

Chair of Student Council, Kyfer– 23rd March 2016 – Email to Enrichment Lead following a Learning Walk.

Last week I've really enjoyed the learning walk. The primary students from class 1 all loved their own enrichment session, I was very impressed by how much they loved it. The group which do Tennis are really enjoying the session, they are becoming more confident with their skills, and their abilities by learning how to throw or even how to bowl. The gardening group has also done a splendid job. The school from outside looks a lot tidier and cleaner and we definitely want to keep it that way. Finally when I went to the Art room I have seen some amazing work. They did some spray painting last week. My opinion which I thought was colourful and creative. Thank you for last week Sam and I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow morning.

Maria Landy - School Improvement Adviser Visit, May 2016

Following a recent learning walk, where Rosehill’s Chair of the Student Council Kyfer provided monitoring feedback to Maria Landy SEN Schools Advisor, Maria commented: Many thanks and very well done - excellent quality monitoring and feedback evidence - very valuable and much appreciated. I really enjoyed being part of your evaluation of the schools' process Kyfer . I was very impressed with the way the school had continued to improve and is now stronger and more consistently outstanding. The evidence base is of high quality and readily available. I made a few recommendations to improve but overall I was delighted. Very well done all.

    Cllr Sam Webster's Visit, 31st March 2016

Thank you for inviting me to Rosehill and sharing with me the positive progress you have already made and the plans the school has to develop even further. It was a pleasure to meet your staff team and some of the young people. It’s clear to see that Rosehill is a fantastic learning environment.

    Parent feedback, 26th January 2016

Really great parents meeting – useful discussions around how the school is aiming to support health outcomes for our children.

Martin Smith, Outdoor Education Adviser, 5th January 2016

Most regular and routine visits undertaken at Rosehill School operate under their Off-site Visits policy. Looking back over the last couple of years a wide and varied range of visits have been recorded on EVOLVE, which is to be commended.  Such a baseline of activity shows that the school is committed to providing a broad and balanced curriculum for its pupils and that the development of life skills and experiences are key to preparing pupils for life beyond the school. The use of the notes system on EVOLVE shows that the school takes the planning of such visits seriously and issues are often picked up by the OVC or senior managers, which are then acted upon. More complex visits that operate outside of the Policy are well planned evidencing a wide range of supporting paperwork as well some very good risk assessments. When additional information on the visit has been requested by the LA the school has responded quickly.

    Lauren Seager-Smith, National Coordinator, Anti-Bullying Alliance, 15th December 2015

We are delighted that Rosehill School took part in Anti-Bullying Week 2015 and share our vision to stop bullying. The school clearly has a firm concept of how the little things – like sharing and turn taking create an environment where pupils feel safe and respected. Well done!

Shaun Morris, Nottingham City Council - Passenger Transport Operations Manager, 7th December 2015

I visited Rosehill School today to observe the home to school transport loading at the end of the day. Having observed the vehicles loading everything appeared to go really smoothly the best I can recall ever seeing. Please pass on my thanks and congratulations to everyone at the school involved with marshalling the transport.

Lesley Mifsud, Independent Auditor, 5th November 2015

I visited Rosehill School to write their access audit and accessibility plan. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel so welcome and this continued throughout my visit. The staff and pupils are definitely one very happy family. Rosehill School is a warm and welcoming school that fosters pride in setting high expectations, working hard and achieving their goals. They are an inclusive school where the talents of all children are recognised, valued and celebrated. They work hard to develop pupils’ self-esteem, emotional wellbeing, physical development, social skills and moral values. They aim to ensure equality for all, enabling their children to reach their potential whilst in their school. The visit was an enjoyable experience and I feel very privileged to have been invited to such an amazing school.
